Through this semester, I've got to learn about how to construct longer essays with certain pattern guides. Meanwhile, the establishment of my own website has given me an alternative access to review my previous essays. Before, all the essays I've done for other courses would stay quietly somewhere on my computer; now, the setting up of my own WIX page allows me to review my works and see how my writing skills developed as I edit the page. Moreover, getting into journal writing is also a fresh experience. As someone who rarely shares anything on social media, keeping journals to share some things that I like can actually be pretty nice. My favorite thing about this course, however, is how the classmates and professor would actually give me feedback on my writing, either the essays or WIX posting. In terms of motivation, activities like commenting, peer editing, and conferences with the teacher really enhanced my confidence and my will to write better.

  Although I haven't yet decided what I'd like to do with this page in the future, the experience of building my own e-portfolio from scratch is a great learning experience by itself. After all, social media and the internet are the mainstream now. And it is never bad to learn something new and keep up with everybody.
